Healthy cooking plays a vital role in lifestyle of people, and there are ones who always feel jittery while making dinner or some other recipe at home. Rahul Baxi, an engineer and Prachi Baxi a nutritionist from San-Francisco-based startup SmartyPans have found a really simple cooking solution for all those. A few years ago, they developed a smart cooking pan that provides you step-by-step instructions for preparing different kinds of recipes through the companion mobile app. It also computes nutrition values, weight and temperature of the ingredients in real time so that you make dishes like a pro chef. This year the brother-sister duo exhibited it at CES and won the Innovation Award honoree award.
The smart cooking pan comes with detachable cooking surfaces that can be changed for making different recipes in the same pan. You can use detachable cooking surfaces for baking cakes or as serving bowls. The on-board sensors, Bluetooth chip and rechargeable battery work together for delivering exact measurements and instructions for the recipe through the mobile app.
Using the mobile app, tell the name of ingredient you are adding and the smart frying pan will show you concurrent weights and their specific cooking time. This caloric data can also be integrated with FitBit for deciding effective dietary patterns for a healthy lifestyle.
This app-connected frying pan is easy to clean and can be washed in a dishwasher. It is available in three colors and can be pre-ordered for $229 at SmartyPans.
