Netherlands-based architecture firm 123DV is best known for its expertise in creating modern private villas including the 85-square-meter 360 Villa located in the Dutch forest. On demands of the clients, architects created a circular house with an ideal design for owners who want to give attention to their Alaskan malamute dogs. Reached through the metal walkway, the house overlooks attractive greenish hillside and features wrap around deck that serves as covered shelter for the arctic dogs in rainy seasons. On one side of the house, near the bedroom and the kitchen area, the garden comes to the level of the house façade, so it becomes easy to keep an eye on the dogs.
The owner couple wanted such a space that eases the task of taking care of the dogs, so this rounded house is wrapped all round with large windows to create a connection between indoor space and natural setting around the house. Loads of windows and mirrored walls get more of the natural light inside and allow maximum visual contact with the dogs.
The open floor plan keeps the space connected and ensures maximum interaction between residents and the pets playing in the garden. All areas of this nest including the bedroom are connected, but a sliding hatch can be closed to separate it from rest of the house. On the inside, the spacious living area offers uninterrupted views of the surroundings, while bright sleeping areas and bathroom with stone wall adds a modern touch and optimal comfort to space. This round house is both appealing and beneficial for the pet lover couple.
