Artikul architects’ shipping container hotel can be moved to any location

ContainHotel in Třeboutice, Czech Republic is a mobile hotel built by architects of Prague and Vienna-based Artikul studio, made using three repurposed shipping containers and modern construction materials. It is an eco-friendly pop-up hotel that can be transported to different locations, and can fulfill most of energy needs on its own. The shipping container hotel has sufficient space for a maximum of thirteen guests, and there is a large covered deck on the upper floor to provide space for enjoying in open air.

Lower containers of the hotel sit over railroad sleepers and houses bathrooms, utility room, storage room and a guest room. Upstairs are located four rooms opening to large deck with great views of the valley. Every room has a fully glazed wall to keep the interior space airy, bright and in touch with the surrounding landscape. Walls and ceiling are finished in birch plywood, while custom furniture makes most out of the space. Dark blue paint, round windows and custom-built railing made of ropes and nets are some unassuming elements of the pop-up hotel.

Built-in water reservoirs are included to supply water for showers, sinks, taps and other appliances in the containers with social facilities. Modern water-less toilets are installed to minimize impact to the environment.

It is a unique piece of architecture that can be moved to desired locations and ideal for adventure seekers.
