Seagull convertible house expands to provide more living space

Portable housing is becoming a popular trend worldwide, and it is ever growing. Seeing the escalating housing crisis in all the major metropolises of the world, convertible houses which are great on space-saving are being incepted quite frequently by designers from world over. Povilas Danius, a Lithuanian designer has come-up with such a modern take on portable housing. Christened as Seagull convertible house, this dwelling expands to open up more space inside.

To keep the overall weight of the structure down to minimum, the basic frame of Seagull is made from aluminum and wood panels. For sturdiness of the floor, steel framing is used for hassle-free transportation. While talking about the interiors, plastic and wood is used to good effect.

Plenty of windows and skylight on the roof give the interiors spacious look with warm ambiance. Further, the double level floor structure gives plenty of space for the longitudinal structure. Making good use of the available space, the area under the floor is used for storage, hiding energy sources and collecting waste.

Overall, this convertible house is made for modern dwellers who are intrigued by space-saving structures that are easily transportable to any location.
