Signify has unveiled Philips Skylight, which recreates the feeling of natural daylight indoors. This may not be a revolutionary product, but it definitely signals the popularity of sunlight-replicating lamps. There are already many tabletop options on the market, but manufacturers are learning that homeowners are interested in window- and skylight-shaped lamps. Signify is surely looking to monetize this trend with its latest lamp, which is perfect for windowless and dimly lit spaces, making them feel brighter.
Philips Skylight may look like a slim rectangular box on the ceiling, but it can create an illusion of a sky-overlooking window inside your home. Signify has used its NatureConnect technology to reproduce natural brightness, shades, and depth of natural daylight. This results in soft, evenly distributed illumination that makes you feel you are outdoors.
Signify notes each lamp is equipped with Philips BioUp LEDs to deliver brighter, blue-enriched light during the day and warmer light in the evening. This illumination concept is inspired by research on circadian stimulation and alertness. One feature we would like to mention is the integrated auto day rhythm that automatically adjusts brightness and tone throughout the day.
There are five preset daylight-inspired scenes you can choose to suit your activities and the time of day. It comes with options such as focused daytime lighting and warmer evening ambiance to match different environments. As highlighted by T3 magazine, the new lighting range has no smart connectivity. Instead, it comes with a stylish remote control with dedicated buttons to operate the lights.
Philips Skylight mimics sunlight, letting you feel more connected to natural light even when indoors. It is particularly useful for small homes or apartments with a minimum number of windows. You can also install it in any space in your home, like the kitchen or bathroom, to enjoy natural sunlight.

The Philips Skylight lineup also includes VitaUp variants, featuring an integrated UV-B module designed to support the body’s natural vitamin D production indoors. It comes with integrated safety controls, including automatic shutoff after eight hours, or you can manually control via the included remote.
Philips Skylight and its VitaUp variant will come in medium and large sizes. They will be available across selected European markets in June 2026, but there are no specific dates for the USA market.
