French tiny house builder Baluchon has recently completed Elodie and Thomas’s Tiny House Road Runner. It is called Road Runner after the animated character known for fun-filled races with Coyote in the New Mexico desert. The owners lived there for years before shifting back to France, which probably inspired them to name their tiny house after the character.

It is a 20-foot, tiny house on wheels featuring a contemporary exterior with corrugated metal and cedarwood cladding. The owners wanted a tiny house with large openings to maximize natural light indoors, for which the builder’s Baluchon has included large windows to their tiny house. Inside, there is a convertible sofa bed that can be used as an additional bed for guests while the main sleeping area lies on the mezzanine level.

The living room area has a wood-burning stove to keep the interiors warm all year round. The kitchen area is customized with amenities necessary for meal preparation – a small under-counter vegetable cabinet and folding dining table being the highlighting features of the kitchen area. The bathroom has a dry toilet with stainless steel bucket and chip compartment, as well as a shower.
