One such example is of Michael Fuehrer from Stockholm, New Jersey who has also transformed a 2004 Thomas Freightliner school bus into a cozy mobile home to please his wanderlust. He has spent about US$35,000 and nine months to include complete features of a house including kitchen, seating, sleeping area and a bathroom with shower. The most intriguing feature of this converted school bus home is the rooftop deck that’s also accessible from inside.
While talking of its exterior, there isn’t much change except the inclusion of a custom-built outdoor table, flood lights and flat wooden slats on both sides; adding rustic essence to the looks. Just like any other converted bus home, the storage facilities are positioned at the back. The bus roof has three skylights, solar panels, air conditioner and a wooden rooftop deck perfect to have some fun in open air. In addition, the fresh and gray water tanks are housed underside the bus home along with additional fuel tanks.

The wood-clad interior of this converted bus home is so amazing that it doesn’t even seem like a bus home from inside. There are a lot of vertically sliding windows which bring in sunlight, as well as beautiful views of surrounding nature inside. The kitchen area is equipped with things such as foldable dining table, full-sized sink, reclaimed wood countertop, cubic fridge, and a small pantry. Despite a separate two-person bedroom, there are convertible sofas to create additional space for guests.
