Honeywell has recently added the newest entry to its Lyric lineup. The Lyric T5 thermostat is compatible with both Apple Homekit and Amazon Echo. The Homekit-enabled thermostat features Siri voice control, as well as Apple’s new Home app supporting iOS 10. It’s also compatible with Honeywell’s newly updated Lyric app, allowing the users to monitor its functioning from any Wi-Fi-enabled area outside their home.
The smart thermostat also supports Amazon’s Alexa for more control features and greater integration. Some other highlighting features of the Lyric T5 are adaptive learning to adjust as per users’ preferences, automatic temperature adjustments, and geofencing settings. With geofencing, Lyric T5 can detect the location of the paired mobile devices when they come within the range.
This thermostat can also be configured to go into an energy-saving mode. Moreover, it can re-adjust the temperature settings on detecting when the homeowner returns home. T5 even has one-touch access to weather forecasts, and intelligent comfort controls to maintain temperature and humidity indoors.
Honeywell Lyric T5 thermostat is priced at $149.99, which is $100 less than both Nest and Ecobee, and $50 less than the Lyric Round Wi-Fi Thermostat. The Lyric T5 thermostat will be launching this October and you can find the Honeywell’s new heating and cooling device at selected retail stores and online.
