LG Display, the world-known innovator of display technologies is showcasing new applications for its transparent OLED displays at the all-virtual CES 2021. Unveiling the plans to bring these transparent displays right into our bedrooms, the company is exhibiting a bed with a built-in TV that retracts down into the bed when not in use. This product follows the design approach of having minimum visual clutter.

LG has envisioned a one-of-a-kind, smart bed with a built-in 55-inch transparent OLED display that comes out from the frame at the foot of the bed only when needed. With the touch of a button, the display rises from the bed frame and can go back after you have finished watching.

The company’s Transparent OLED realizes 40-percent transparency, providing clear image quality in comparison to the existing transparent LCD with only 10-percent transparency.
