Cats are playful pets and they need space to stretch their paws. Modern pet parents have cat towers and a few shelves at home so that their beloved don’t get bored through the day. If that was not enough for your kitty somehow, a Japanese company Lixil has thought of a unique idea – to turn the entire wall for cats to play and rest.

Dubbed Nyanpeki, it is a personalized catwalk that can be changed according to the personality and age of the cats. Each user needs to install a magnet panel on the wall, on which separate removable modules of the catwalk will be attached. The modules are of different types – boxes, tunnels, and steps that can be arranged by the user in any manner they like.

All components of the Nyanpeki catwalk feature a cat-friendly design. The corners are rounded, making them safe for cats and attractive to look at. Since it mounts on the wall, it leaves the floor space vacant for other things, while its felt construction is comfortable for cats and harmless for the wall.

The designers of Nyanpeki are relating the playfulness of cats to their life expectancy. They created the cat wall with the inspiration to create a product that provides a free and playful environment to cats of all ages.

Nyanpeki cat wall has a load-bearing design of about 20 kg and parents have the option to change the height and layout for the cat to play at any time. The catwalk is currently on the Japanese crowdfunding platform Makuake, it has been fully funded, which means people are loving the idea – what do you think?
