New York-based design and manufacturing company, SENTIENT offers luxury custom furniture made from solid wood, metal, stone, and glass for residential and commercial spaces. The SHIMNA couch featuring rustic hardwood beam legs is one of its previous creations.
Now we have another artisanal furniture piece from the company; dubbed Wave Chaise Lounge it features a distinctive form that is inspired by its name and further exemplified by the upward curves and rippled design.
Designed by Nersi Nasseri, the lounge chair makes use of walnut wood & upholstery to create a pure luxury design. It has two elegantly curved shapes, one for the wood base and the other for the deeply ribbed flowing seat.
With its curved details and rich finish, this chaise lounge is ideal to bring a splash of contemporary style to a home. Furthermore, the curved ribs on the cushioned seat add a sense of intended rhythmic fluidity.

SENTIENT created the Wave Chaise Lounge in collaboration with German automobile manufacturer Porsche for the Monterey Car Week 2019 exhibition. This one-of-a-kind furniture piece is dynamic in its movement and is a perfect example of symbiosis between art and design, form and function.
