A remodeled tiny house on wheels in Monterey, California, offers a modern living space with three main sleeping zones and modern utilities packed in a compact 20-foot layout. The renovated 1987 Komfort travel trailer was turned into a contemporary dwelling with a beautiful white and green color palette that adds a luxurious feel to its interior.

Built on a heavy-duty twin Dexter axle trailer, the remodeled travel trailer flaunts its distinctive retro façade, measuring 20 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 10 feet tall. Its cream-colored exterior, clad in corrugated aluminum panels, gives a boxy appearance to the compact house.

An onboard storage tank beneath the axle trailer chassis holds 30 gallons of potable water, while the waste goes into the grey and black tanks. Its rooftop air conditioning regulates the indoor climate to keep it temperate.

The tiny house comes prewired, so you can easily install a built-in electric space heater. Its commercial-grade roof structure supports future solar installation. The multiple black-framed windows flood the interior with natural daylight and highlight the aluminum-clad box façade of the tiny house trailer.

When it comes to interior, the compact house has a contemporary living space of 160 square feet, with an open layout. The vinyl flooring throughout adds warmth to the space while the white walls reflect light, making the interior feel expansive and bright. The modern kitchenette, located in the center, has a butcher-block countertop with green-painted cabinetry, providing ample storage and adding natural warmth to the space.

The black matte finishes of the large sink and fixtures contrast against the wooden countertop and enhance the streamlined look of the kitchen. The built-in stove with four burners and an oven saves space, while the white backsplash tiles add a decorative element in the interior.

Adjacent to the kitchenette, you’ll find a dedicated zone for integrated appliances, including a microwave and a refrigerator. Towards the left, a main-level bedroom with a double bed tucks itself by the windows.

In the far right corner, a bunk bed adds two additional sleeping spaces. The full bathroom located elsewhere includes a bathtub, shower, new toilet, and a propane on-demand water heater. Its vanity sink has a lovely redwood slab countertop with a black faucet and plenty of storage.

The remodeled tiny house breathed new life into a 1987 Komfort travel trailer and turned it into a modern living space wrapped in warm aesthetics. The space-saving layout packs all essential utilities in a small footprint without making the interior feel cramped. The compact house is listed on Tiny House Listings for $ 18,900.
