Every Christmas Tree should end up as these displayed in the lobbies of The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, and The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza.

Designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and realized by Karimoku Furniture, the two wood Christmas Trees will be repurposed as furniture after the festivities

Both trees are made by stacking small wooden pieces, each representing their neighborhoods from where the raw material comes

The first tree named KOMOREBI features angular shaped structure with slatted design

Inspired by Ginza district where tradition meets technology, it is crafted like a Jewelry Tree, woven together from tree branches

The second named KIGUMI is decked with circular elements, symbolizing a different species

This tree's design revolves around the theme of a bright “forest that gathers sunlight through leaves

After the exhibition, these trees will get a new life in form of unique tables designed by Kengo Kuma and crafted by Karimoku

These one-off furniture pieces repurposed from Christmas Trees will be available for sale
