We know a few tiny house manufacturers based out of California and Philadelphia regions but have rarely come across New York-based builders. With the high cost of living and soaring rental prices, it is almost evident that New York residents need an alternative. Cashing on the state of affairs, one of the few New York tiny home builders, Hudson River Tiny Homes, has made a tiny dwelling as an alternative for people tired of paying hefty NYC rentals. The company has designed Barnsider tiny house that offers both comfort and functionality with the same commitment at a much affordable price.

Measuring 28 feet long, the tiny house is finished in barn siding (hence the name) and outfitted with a number of windows that allow light to enter. Compact yet practical, the tiny house features a living room, a downstairs bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Starting with the living room. It isn’t very capacious yet utilizes every bit of space available. Equipped with a couple of chairs and a small table placed in between, the living offers a cozy room for the inhabitants.

Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen which boasts an L-shaped design. It comes accoutered with a generous countertop, cabinetry, a four-burner induction cooktop, a stainless steel sink, and a number of appliances alongside overhead cabinets that house essentials. Opposite the tiny house kitchen is a small gallery that leads to the downstairs bedroom of the Barnsider tiny house. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a lamp which is poised on a side table.

The gallery which leads to the bedroom also takes you to the bathroom. The bathroom includes a toilet and a sink. I can’t spot a shower in the picture, but I assume it to be there.
