Sink and tap specialist Abode made a thrilling return to the recently concluded KBB Birmingham this year with a revamp. Abode showcased new products and exclusive kitchen finishes alongside the relaunch of its popular boiling water taps with new ‘3X’ boiler technology and a customizable range. The new products were showcased in four pods, each designed to provide an advanced digital experience.

To reflect current trends, the four pods were highlighted with integrated taps, sinks, and other accessories. Showcasing new dark bronze and polished nickel finishes, the exhibit was focused on demonstrating the brand’s homely lifestyle feel. The pods named Traditional, Personalisation, Contemporary, and Scandi capture the latest interior design trends that influence the kitchen and bathroom.

Each of the trend-focused areas demonstrated how easy and seamless it is to use the hot tap collection and the new range together in both personal and professional choices. The Traditional pod introduced the Oxbury boiling water tap collection that merges aesthetics with high-performance ‘3X’ boiler technology.

With a focus on aesthetics, the handles of the taps are interchangeable, solid brass or handcrafted ceramic ones that make customization easy. With dark bronze and polished nickel as two new shades, the taps were paired with handcrafted ceramic sinks.

The Personalisation pod highlighted industrial-inspired designs like the Persona tap and Ornate mixer taps that were paired with the recently introduced Optima Belfast sink, which is designed with a fluted surface on one side and smooth on the other. It features a main bowl for large pots and a smaller space for a second bowl for rinsing, which increases the functionality. The exciting part is that it is available in Abode’s new Taupe sink color.

Contemporary pod features the Arkitekt range, which is a collection of taps defined by geometric lines specially crafted for modern kitchens. The collection has three formats: Flex Pro Tap, a professional-style flexible mixer; the Boiling Water Tap that has instant boiling water functionality; and the boiling and filtered water tap, which is a multifunctional tool as it provides instant hot and cold filtered water. Paired with the new LINARO granite sink collection, it also unveiled three new colors.

The Scandi pod featured the company’s award-winning Scandi-X taps and the Synchronist sinks, along with a new boiling water tap, Organico, which is also available as filtered cold water, bringing a new multi-functional aspect to the kitchen. An additional stand featured customizable sink wastes and overflows so that the end user can pair each accessory to the sinks and the taps and achieve a custom look throughout the wet zone.
