It will be slightly expensive, but an absolutely effective and useful 3D printer you wouldn’t be doing without hereafter. I am talking about the new Palette 300 from AtomForm, which was just unveiled at CES 2026, and is expected to start shipping this year. After it has been through a crowdfunding run on Kickstarter, which AtomForm is aligned to kick-off in Q1 itself.
The new 3D printer is functionally equipped to deliver all sorts of colored gifts, product prototypes, classroom models, and art pieces that you may want from time to time. This is a professional-grade printer, of course, its estimated $2,000 plus price tag can suggest that, but it’s the 12 intelligent, auto-swapping nozzles of the printer that stand out for me.
Where most printers in the category limit creators to 1 or 2 nozzles, the AtomForm Palette 300 aims to “transform imagination into vivid, tangible reality” through 3D printing with multiple nozzles. It can efficiently combine 36 colors and 12 materials in a single print to bring even the most intricate designs to vivid reality.
The 12 nozzles boast advanced multi-material capability and quick swap that help you reduce waste by up to 90 percent. According to AtomForm, “the Palette 300 empowers makers, designers, engineers, and hobbyists to produce rich, vibrant, multi-material, professional-grade results at exceptional speed—without the usual trade-offs of time, waste, or precision.”
This should mean that the desktop fabrication industry is on the brink of a change, with the endless possibilities and combinations the Palette 300 opens up. It features the OmniElement Automatic Nozzle Swapping System that optimizes color and material transitions with utmost efficiency and uses a silent assistant onboard for up to ±0.02mm precision.
With this precision, users can print rigid and flexible components of a model without them requiring additional paint and finish in post-production. For this, the printer is built with over 50 different smart sensors and four AI-enabled cameras. These monitor each detail of the printing process to ensure the printing is top-notch, efficient, and done ultra-quietly in ≤48dB.
AtomForm informs that the Palette 300 Color 3D Printer is built-in with an air purification system, making it safe to use at home with children and in closed studios. Unlike the traditional printers, therefore, the multi-head Palette 300 is ultra-precise, helping reduce material waste by up to 90 percent. And with its own air purification system and dramatically swift auto-swapping nozzles, for faster and continuous multi-material printing; the AtomForm Palette 300 will be commercially available in early Q2 2026.
