Bang & Olufsen’s BeoLab 90 floor-standing speaker has remained a favorite for years, and its Atelier Editions continue to draw attention with striking designs and colors. Launched a few months back, the BeoLab 90 Titan Edition stood out with its cast-aluminum cabinet, and now the brand is back in spotlight with new Phantom and Mirage Editions.
Both the models share a unique faceted form that changes appearance from different angles, paired with design updates like new fabric and colors. These limited-edition speakers combine bold aesthetics, fine craftsmanship and immersive sound. They not only serve for music but also become intriguing art pieces.
The Beolab 90 Phantom Edition replaces classic fabric with a custom-designed black metal mesh that beautifully showcase the drivers inside. The beams, joints, and corners of the speaker are carefully machined from raw aluminum and assembled by hand in factory for a seamless look. Another cool addition is the carbon fiber mask, base panels and front plate for the speaker. In other design elements, you can find precision-milled, pearl-blasted, and anodized black Anthracite aluminum details all across the speaker.

The Mirage Edition features a vibrant, hand-anodized color gradient that looks different from every angle. Its iridescent surface appears to shift from blue to magenta as you move around it. This gradient effect on the aluminum components looks really appealing making a cool visual effect to enjoy with the music. A new knitted fabric is also used to complement the gradient appearance and is semi-transparent to reveal the speaker’s drivers while ensuring good acoustic quality. Lastly, the speaker’s base panels are machined from raw aluminum and then, a rippled texture is applied to symbolize sound waves and enhance the iridescent effects of the gradient.
Much like the original Beolab 90, these special edition speakers offer 360-degree sound through its unique design with 18 individually amplified drivers to create immersive experience. Each of these Beolab 90 Atelier Edition loudspeakers are crafted only in a limited series of ten pairs, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. There are no words on the pricing now; however, you can surely expect them to cost very high similar to the earlier models – listed for a huge $211,800 per pair.
