Iceland tops my bucket list of ten places I want to visit before I die. The land of fire and ice offers peace, serenity, and gorgeous landscapes that may attract anyone from a toddler to greybeard. While I can just dream of riding an Icelandic horse under the northern lights, you can actually get to live in a glass cottage in this magical winter wonderland. You may take your horse alongside as this Airbnb allows pets too.

The Airbnb-listed cottage is dubbed Blár. It is located on a lava desert in the south of Iceland and would take you approximately five minutes to reach the location from the small town of Hella. Boasting a glass and iron exterior, the tiny house is modish and offers a swirling view of northern lights.

But, that’s not all. The tiny cottage also has a Jacuzzi for you to soak your sorrows under the starry night. The hot tub is placed on an outside deck while the interior of the house features a double bed that offers panoramic views through the glass ceiling.

In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary stuff and appliances required for a cozy and comfortable stay. From oven and fridge to induction hob and an espresso machine, you name it and the appliance is ready at your service. The Airbnb rental may be secluded from the city but does not compromise quality. To the other side of the kitchen lies dining where you can enjoy some hot rum and some juicy steaks.

Made entirely of glass, the Blár is rentable at about $600 per night. Guest can also spot Icelandic volcanoes like Hekla, Eyjafjallajökull, and Bláfjöll from the comfort of their bed or even from the shower. In case, you want to step out during nighttime, there is a deck offering a whimsical view of Iceland under the northern lights.
