The holiday season, especially Halloween, is a fun time as it brings out a creative and entertaining side in everyone, kids and adults alike. You can indulge in guilt-free candy consumption, festive crafts, and family gatherings. My favorite is crafting and I am constantly figuring out ways to create easy DIYs that can be done along with kids, without much material, and at an affordable price. Take this Halloween Boo banner for instance. It is effortless, takes about 20 minutes, and costs less than $15.

- White felt sheets
- Pencil and black Sharpie
- Burlap ribbon
- Jute twine
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Black acrylic paint
- Paint brush

How to Make Halloween Boo Banner at Home
Cut Boo letters from a black sparkle sheet.
Next, cut the burlap ribbon twice as long as the letters and make inward diagonal cuts at the base to make an inverted V-shaped cutout, adding a festive touch.
Now fold the ribbon’s top about two centimeters and glue it making sure to create a pipe to string a jute twine through. Cut three ribbons for Boo letters and glue them on them.

Draw three ghost shapes – wide enough to accommodate the burlap ribbons – from a white felt sheet and cut them out.
Add fabric folds, eyes, and mouths to the ghosts using black paint and a brush.
Glue the ribbons onto the ghosts and string twine through the pipe hole in the ribbons.
You can add other festive goodies to the banner but I wanted it to be minimalistic and rustic. I included three more burlap cutouts flanking the ghosts.
And that is pretty much it. You can find much of this material at home if you are into crafts such as burlap ribbon, felt, hot glue, and paints so it wouldn’t cost much. If you don’t want to spend much, you can instead cut a burlap sack to make ribbons, use white paper instead of a felt sheet, and stitch them on if you don’t have hot glue. I told you, this is an easy one.
