Florida-based Bote is well-known for its inflatable outdoor furniture, including the Hangout Chair, designed to offer an in-water Adirondack chair experience. This time around, the brand has launched Hangout Shades that can be paired with Hangout Docks to provide shade against the sun. This lightweight, backpack-sized UPF 50 shade solution is perfect for family time on water or land, as it can function as a shade, standalone on land, and alongside the Hangout Docks on water.

The Bote inflatable Hangout Shade is made from an AeroTech PVC inflatable frame, allowing you to set it up in about five minutes. It uses air beams to support the arched structure for UPF 50 sun protection. Inflating the Hangout Shade is simple: unroll the shade, attach the pump hose to the inflation valve, and fill it up until the pressure reaches 3-5 PSI.

The shade comes with a water-repellent canopy that keeps you cool on the water or at the beach. It even includes mesh construction on its lower sides to provide better breathability. The shade comes in two sizes to add sun protection to Bote’s Hangout Dock 7 and Dock 10.

It can be attached to hangout docks using built-in attachment loops and DockLink attachment points. You can also set it up on its own on the land using conventional stakes or sand anchors.

Each shade comes with a backpack-style carry bag, an Aero hand pump, and carabiners for simple setup anywhere. The Hangout Shade 7 offers a shaded coverage area of 49 square feet and weighs about 23.5 lbs (10.7 kg). On the other hand, the Shade 10 offers a coverage area of up to 100 square feet while weighing around 31 lbs (14 kg). Hangout Shades are available on the official website; pricing for the smaller version starts at $799.
