The Bun lounge chair by Ukrainian product designer Dmytro Kozinenko proves that inspiration can strike anytime, anywhere. Kozinenko designed a chair that looks like an appetizing bun that you can glimpse from the window of your favorite pastry shop. He imagined a chair made out of dough, like ravioli, homemade pasta, or croissant, and how it would look and feel, and created the playful Bun chair.

Made in Ukraine by furniture company Woo, the Bun chair will make its debut at the 2026 Maison & Objet and catch curious eyes. The designer describes the chair’s appearance as an appetizing bun that he saw on a TV show. While you can see and interpret the design as a bun or something else, its puffy, round shapes have a unique and fun element that invites you to sit, relax, and unwind.

The frame of the Bun chair is crafted from metal and plywood, covered in contract-grade molded foam and foam rubber for durability. The chair is upholstered in a comfy fabric, making it extra plush and fluffy, ensuring a pleasant sitting experience.

The Bun chair is a charming blend of spirited design and cozy comfort. Whether you want to add a touch of charm to your living room, create a cozy nook in your office, or need something for your study, the Bun chair ticks all the boxes and fits right in. The diverse upholstery and color options make the Bun distinctive in every setting, adding charm and individuality to the space.

Its friendly and accessible form makes it an inviting and elegant piece of furniture for both casual and formal settings. Kozinenko designed the Bun lounge chair not as something to admire from afar, but as a statement of comfort and relaxation to harmonize the space and make it feel more like home. You can get this chair for €1,750 (roughly $2,040).
