IFA 2025 found itself flooded with new and interesting vacuum cleaners from Dyson that’s holding tight onto its pole position in the domain. Dyson’s new lineup, while showing off a few previously launched vacuums, was stuffed with new offerings that include a stick vacuum with a self-emptying docking station and an AI-powered robovac that does more than the ordinary.

My personal favorite would be the upgraded version of the Dyson V8 cordless vacuum, which was first released in 2016, and I have had some experience with. I thought the V8 was pretty powerful back then, but Dyson notes that the V8 Cyclone cordless stick vacuum offers 30 percent more suction power and can now run for almost an hour on a full charge. The constant pressure required on the trigger of the V8 was straining, but now it’s a one-click on/off system, which should be a seller for me, along with the self-emptying dock that the new V8 Cyclone cordless vacuum is likely to get next year. Let’s check out the other innovative vacuum cleaners Dyson announced at IFA Berlin.

Dyson V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum

Dyson V16 Piston Animal is a new and most powerful anti-tangle cordless stick vacuum out there. It features a conical head that de-tangles long hair up to 25 inches and can automatically adapt to the type of floor it’s working on. The cleaner head can adjust the suction power and the dual brush bars on the head based on the floor type.

Powered by a Hyperdymium 900W motor, the vac delivers 315 airwatt of suction power, while its inventive bin compresses dust and debris to easily pack up to 30 days’ dust. The Dyson V16 Piston Animal has LED illumination to help spot dust. Its battery lasts a good 70 minutes before requiring a recharge. The V16 Piston Animal can handle both dry and wet floors thanks to its compatibility with the Submarine 2.0 wet roller.

Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum

This one is a real spy. It is engineered to overcome the shortcomings of its predecessors and can now eliminate hidden stains using AI. Dyson’s Spot+Scrub, as the name says, comes with a mopping feature and a dock that empties itself. The wet roller Dyson informs, cleans itself on every rotation: Now that’s hygienic! In addition to emptying and cleaning itself, the vac can also refill and recharge automatically.

The robot vacuum can illuminate hidden stains with integrated LEDs and distinguish wet or dry spills, before using Ai to confirm how to clean and remove the stain or wipe the spill. Scrub in the name is very symbolic to the Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum, since the robot is designed to pass over stains up to 15 times to clean over and over until it’s actually sparkling.

Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene vacuum

Of course, a combination of wet and dry cleaner, the Clean+Wash is centered around maintaining hygiene. For this, Dyson has made some interesting changes in the design. It has put the hygiene waste system on the cleaner head of the vacuum, which means the chances of bacteria buildup and bad odor is almost eliminated.

Dyson has placed the dirty water tank on the cleaner head. This shortens the span for the dirty water to travel through the vacuum, ensuring less foul odor and better hygiene. Owing to this design alteration, Dyson has done without the use of a filter in the Clean+Wash vacuum cleaner.

Dyson PencilVac, the slimmest vacuum cleaner ever

The world’s slimmest stick vacuum cleaner, PencilVac, measuring only 3.8cm in diameter, was launched in May earlier this year. Dyson took the stage at IFA to reintroduce this brilliant vacuum that has been in the headlines since launch. The vacuum cleaner features its motor, battery, and dustbin in the handle that measures 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter.

Powered by a Hyperdymium motor that spins at 140,000 RPM to generate 55 airwatt of suction power, the PencilVac has a cleaner head with four cone-shaped brushes on two brush bars, which are arranged at the front and back. With a thin profile and lightweight design, PencilVac is easy to maneuver to clean under low furniture. It can also tackle hard-to-reach or hard-to-see areas with green LED lights. Dyson PencilVac is available in the UK and Australia, and it’s likely to arrive in the US next year.
