But, if you have $65,000 handy, these space-inspired Sky Pods are a cozy and warm abode in Antarctica, welcoming you with open arms. For intrepid traveler and adventurers, White Desert have announced their camp in Antarctica and you don’t even require a Visa to visit there.
Dubbed Echo, the camp is all set to open this November. Featuring six space-inspired sky pods, the venture is designed to upgrade a user’s glamping experience. The sky pod structure of the camps is inspired by the seminal age of space exploration and offers guests a lavish stay in the land of Ice.
Each pod is made of composite fiberglass with floor-to-ceiling windows. These windows allow in natural light and expansive views of the snowcapped mountain and the icy plain region outside. On the inside, the pod features a heated bedroom with all the necessary furnishings and space-age accessories. In addition, the inside of the pod is also adorned with original photos taken from the International Space Station (ISS). These pictures are clicked by the former Commander and retired astronaut, Colonel Terry Virts.
Each pod can accommodate up to two guests. In case you love chatting, community building, and interaction, there is a common space for all guests which features a lounge area and a dining room. Once you land at the destination, you are greeted with Martini stirred with 10,000-year-old ice. You also get to participate in activities like fat biking, skiing, and 4×4 Arctic Truck driving.

Well, this isn’t listed on Airbnb, so don’t expect it to come any cheap. The luxury stay would cost a single person $65,000 and $780,000 in case you are planning to travel with a group of twelve. That is a hell lot of money, but then, it’s glamping in Antarctica you’re talking about.
