Expanding its portfolio of home robots, Ecovacs, known for its robot vacuum cleaners, has entered the pool cleaning business. Launched at CES 2026, Ultramarine is the brand’s first foray into robotic pool cleaners. Ecovacs has taken its deep expertise in perception, navigation, and cleaning to Ultramarine, engineered to simplify pool maintenance.

Aiming to create an inclusive home robot lineup, Ecovacs wants you to think of your swimming pool as a “blue living room,” which the new robotic cleaner has been tasked with maintaining. It is designed to free you from the traditional time-consuming and labor-intensive cleaning process.

Leveraging the brand’s tried and tested technology, Ultramarine robotic pool cleaner delivers advanced environment recognition and path-planning capabilities. It effortlessly adapts to complex and changing pool environments. The robotic cleaner features high-efficiency filtration and durable systems to keep the pool clear of fine debris and stubborn stains. Supposedly, it offers a reliable, long-lasting run with a highly capable battery system to keep the operation smooth and unhindered.

According to the brand, Ultramarine is designed to address pain points in pool maintenance, including inadequate coverage, overly complicated control systems, and poor durability. While specifics are still scarce at the moment, the pictures of the pool cleaner reveal a typical design. The one noticeable difference from other robots in the category is the asymmetrical treads, featuring large front wheels and small rear wheels, which supposedly will help with maneuverability.

There are two cylindrical scrubbing brushes mounted between the treads and an unusual rear-mounted scrubber. Ecovacs says the pool cleaner features a smart navigation system allowing it to map and adapt to various designs, all the while cleaning the floor, wall, and waterline. Ultramarine also supports mobile app-based control and management.

While on display at CES, the specs and details on pricing and availability are still under wraps, like other products unveiled by the brand. However, we expect the Ecovacs Ultramarine robotic pool cleaner to hit the market by the end of the year.
