Inflatable camping gear is on the rise, and the latest examples include FLFQ-Aloner’s FLOAT inflatable tent and the Japanese company Snow Peak that integrated an inflatable airframe in its rooftop tent. The issue with owning inflatable camping gear is the hassle of dealing with bulky pumps, to which camping gear brand Flextail’s Tiny Pump Series has been a great alternative. Upgrading the series, the company has released its Tiny Pump 3X, which is claimed to be the world’s strongest air pump. The size of a small lightbulb, this pump is small enough to carry around, yet powerful enough to inflate faster.
Weighing just 2.4oz (67g), the Tiny Pump 3X is said to provide double the power of its predecessor. It now generates a powerful 5.0 kPa pressure and 300L/min airflow. It comes with five nozzles that allow you to inflate up to 90 percent of sleeping-pad brands, pool floats, air mattresses, and vacuum bags.
Powered by a cobalt cell 1050 mAh battery, the Tiny Pump 3X can be used over 100 times per charge. The pump is said to inflate 11 mattresses on a single charge. It has a running time of up to 20 minutes while it gets charged in just two hours.
Interestingly, it can be used for both inflation and vacuum storage. It can help you draw air out of different things to save space in your backpack. It can even be used to blow air into the fire or clean your laptop or car dashboard like a mini vacuum. The vacuuming feature is there, but there are no details about its effectiveness, so you can expect it as an extra feature.
The pump gets even better by serving as a camping lantern with three adjustable brightness levels. As a lamp, it can run for up to 60 minutes. There are five lighting modes, including the ambient 15lm glow that lasts for up to 50 hours, while there are three white levels (50lm / 120lm / 300lm), and a 400lm hybrid mode for other requirements. Even better, the lampshade is removable, and you have the option to personalize it with a custom 3D printed or hand-crafted design.

The new version of the pump has an upgraded impact-resistant structure for better handling and protection, while a hanging ring is added that lets you clip, hang, or attach it anywhere. The device has a unibody silicone-damped button to control the air pump and light features.
