IKEA’s bestselling BILLY bookcase has been upgraded with a desk and drawer. The new BILLY bookcase with desk and drawer combo is designed as a practical solution for small spaces. “The desk is easy to pull out – and push in to save space when not in use,” says IKEA.

This newly released two-in-one BILLY bookcase from IKEA is crafted from particleboard, paper foil, and plastic edging. It features a similar 31-inch-wide bookcase as the original one but includes a retractable table and a removable drawer to serve as a multifunctional unit in small spaces.

The portion of the table extends out and sits at an adequate height for a stool or chair. However, the table is not only limited to working. It is versatile and can be used for dining, crafting, and more. Even with the desk and drawer, you get a generous number of shelves to keep books or other items. You can even adjust these shelves according to your needs just like other IKEA bookcases.

Moreover, the removable drawer comes with easy to push and pull mechanism thanks to the castor rolls. It is spacious enough for things like board games, cords, and other items. There is also an optional drawer front that can be used to hide the clutter.

The upgraded BILLY bookcase with desk and drawer comes only in white, whereas the original one has a variety of color options. Regardless, it allows for many dynamic combos and pairings. You can pair it with a BILLY height extension unit to maximize the storage, add extra shelves, or maybe use it with doors available in different colors and designs.

This multifunctional furniture can be a versatile storage solution for small spaces. The upgraded BILLY bookcase is priced at $159, far more expensive than the original one at only $69.
