IKEA recently introduced playful kids’ furniture and accessories, and a range of colorful lamps and speakers. For the new year, the Swedish furniture giant once again launched new household products that are not only meant to decorate your home, but also wirelessly charge your smartphones, without the mess of cables. Designed by Lukas Bazle, the new IKEA VÄSTMÄRKE series comprises three wireless chargers; you can choose according to your budget and needs. Based on the latest Qi2 standard, they provide a modern and efficient way to charge your electronic devices at home.
All these wireless chargers are certified according to Qi 2.0 BPP (Baseline Power Profile) and MPP (Magnetic Power Profile) while they are compatible with Power Delivery (PD 3.0) and Quick Charge (QC 2.0). They transfer energy to the device via an electromagnetic field without a direct electrical connection, and even include built-in safety features for protection against short-circuiting, overheating, and overloading. You can use them with Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S6 or newer models.
The first one is a donut-shaped VÄSTMÄRKE wireless charger with a soft silicone feel that you can clip on the back of your phone. This way, you can easily use your phone while charging, without placing it on a charging station. Its popping red color adds a pleasant touch to its overall look, while a 47-inch long cable allows you to plug it in easily. Additionally, you can fold up its top part and roll the cable inside to avoid tangling and carry it easily.
Next is the bowl-shaped wireless charger with built-in lighting to help you set up a pleasant ambiance. Place the phone on the charging spot in the center, and it will start juicing up. You can press the puck in the middle to turn on the light. Apart from a wireless charger and a light, it also serves as a perfect nightstand, as you can store your tiny trinkets like rings, a watch, or other small things in its tray safely.

The last product is a wireless charger stand featuring a cork body for a warm and natural feel. You simply attach your phone to it and complete your tasks while watching and charging the device simultaneously. This particular wireless charger is useful when you’re cooking in the kitchen and need to charge your smartphone simultaneously. You can place your phone horizontally or vertically on the stand, and a strong magnet keeps the phone securely in place.
