Italian high-end speaker manufacturer iXoost does things in style or doesn’t do them at all. The brand’s knack for producing sleek, stylish, and beautiful hi-fi gear dates back to 2016, when iXoost collaborated with Lamborghini to launch a monstrous Bluetooth speaker crafted out of authentic Lamborghini parts. Nine years on, iXoost has reunited with Lamborghini to release the $46,000 ESAVOX, a limited-edition speaker forged from a real Aventador exhaust.
Lest anyone dismiss it as a pure marketing gimmick, I want to quote Forbes, which testifies to the model being a foolproof Bluetooth sound system that’s available as a limited-edition purchase. Only 63 units exist, each hand-finished in official Lamborghini hues ranging from Green Gea, Gray Keres Matte to Red Epona, Orange Anthaeus, and more.
Luxe Review highlights how ESAVOX takes its design cues from the Lamborghini Aventador. The speaker system is handcrafted in Italy from genuine Lamborghini components. This includes a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, sharp hexagonal shapes, and a genuine Lamborghini exhaust. If that’s not motorhead territory already, a Lamborghini Start/Stop button to power the system up is pure dope.
The design of the ESAVOX hi-fi system is based on a monocoque frame in autoclave-cured carbon, which incorporates the most exclusive and recognizable details of Automobili Lamborghini: hexagons, sharp lines, and accentuated corners. The central element is the original exhaust of the unmistakable Lamborghini Aventador, which harmonizes the dimensions of the diffusers and enhances the different materials used: iXoost
Despite its sculptural appeal, one must not dismiss this as a piece of art because beneath the attractive form lie serious sonics. The speaker features dual one-inch tweeters, twin 6.5-inch mid-bass drivers, and a 10-inch down-firing subwoofer, powered by 640 W of total amplification. It plays deep bass down to 20 Hz for that heart-thumping rumble. From a connectivity standpoint, the speaker includes Bluetooth 5.0 plus RCA inputs and works on 110–240 V anywhere.
Irrespective of what speaker packs in, it boils down to the gear’s ultimate utility. The speaker weighs 117 lbs and is the perfect home garage display rather than an audio gear. Let’s be honest, people won’t be buying the limited-edition model for its sonic prowess. Instead, they would purchase this handsome beast for the grin it triggers every time the exhaust glows red during the power-on sequence. Just try and ignore the stunned silence it will command from the bamboozled guests. That said, the limited-edition ESAVOX Bluetooth speaker system can be purchased in the U.K. via Harrods of London.
