Tiny houses have the tremendous capacity to provide a world within a compact space. Their design, construction material, and layout with clever storage utilization maximize the overall feel of the interior. New Zealand-based tiny house manufacturer, Build Tiny, has gained mastery in designing space-saving solutions for tiny houses. The Kahurangi Koinga tiny house by Build Tiny is living proof of that.

Built for a small family on their ancestral land, the Kahurangi Koinga tiny house on wheels enjoys the optimum utilization for an all-inclusive space. Poised on a double-axle trailer, the name of the abode means Blue Point.

The gray-clad steel frame exterior contrasts beautifully with the lightweight poplar core plywood interior. The tiny house also features six roof-mounted solar panels with inverter, batteries, and a backup generator to allow off-grid living should the family opt for it.

The French front door directs the visitors to a spacious living room. It is centered on a cozy white couch, a compact coffee table, and a large fireplace with a wet back for water heating next to the door. On one side is a fixed storage-integrated staircase leading to one of the loft bedrooms which has a queen-size bed.

The space under the primary bedroom features a residential-style bathroom. It is quite spacious and has a shower with a glass door and a small vanity sink. A washer/dryer combo unit alongside an eco-friendly bamboo composting toilet makes it one sustainable option.

Opposite the bathroom, an exquisite kitchen is jam-packed with modern amenities. The galley-style kitchen features plywood countertops, a breakfast bar opposite it, and an astute ladder to the loft. The space is equipped with stained plywood countertops, a fridge/freezer, a small removable two-burner propane-powered stove, a wall-sized cabinet, and space for a dishwasher.

A kids’ room is located above the kitchen and features customized wooden railings to accentuate the aesthetics. The Kahurangi Koinga tiny house also features an outdoor shower.
