The fashion expert Louise Middleton and Ben Huggins of furniture brand New British Design with the help of a few ingenious craftsman have designed Kudhva, a unique concept for prefab vacation cabins resting on stilts. Located in an abandoned quarry in North Cornwall, these off-grid cabins stand above the ground amidst treetops, offering the best views of the Cornish landscape while having a minimum impact on the surrounding flora and fauna. The collaborative team has created all four prototype cabins with optimal flexibility in mind.
Each cabin is a movable structure that’s manufactured off-site and then transported to its intended location as a complete unit. They are designed especially for the quarry environment with an outdoor terrace, floor-to-ceiling triangular windows, and a mezzanine bed to sleep high above the ground. Accessed through a metal ladder, all the Kudhva cabins sleep two and have built in storage and other facilities for guests.

The angular design of these prefab vacation cabins lends an oddly attractive character to the structure. They are fully-equipped with essentials required to spend some peaceful time in the lap of nature. These cabins on stilts are currently available for rent, so all those planning for a camping trip can have a look.
