People from various walks of life choose to downsize for individual reasons. Gina, a professional bartender reached out to Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses, a manufacturer known for creating custom-build tiny houses for over a decade, to build her a new home. The result was the Las Vegas tiny house, a 28 feet long and 8 feet wide micro-dwelling built on a triple-axle trailer, offering 224 square feet of space on the lower level and about 100 square feet in the lofts. One of the main highlights of this house is the Juliet balcony in the front that can be accessed using a French door.
The exterior of the Las Vegas tiny house looks prepossessing and unique with metal siding that has been incorporated so that it can withstand heat and sun. There are two bump outs on the rear end to create extra space – one for a storage closet and the other as part of the loft. The main door looks beautiful in white with a doggie door built next to it. The windows are small in size to ensure better privacy and to restrict the heat from the sun to a minimum.
As you enter inside, you notice that this tiny home has a unique floor plan. The kitchen is divided into two sections facing each other. One part of it houses the farm sink with drawers and cabinets above and below the granite counter. The second section has the cooktop installed in the middle and it also features the storage spaces for kitchen essentials. There is an apartment-size fridge next to the second section. One can access the guest loft using a ladder from the end of the kitchen.
There is a space for sleeping on the lower level but there is no bed only mattresses placed in this part of the house. In between this space and kitchen are the stairs that take you up to the loft living room. The floor plan of the Las Vegas tiny house features a reverse loft that is set at 48 inches above the main floor, providing an easy-to-access bedroom with decent headroom. From this area, one can access the balcony. There is even a catwalk on the loft level so that furry friends of Gina can enjoy some playful time even inside the house.

The bathroom has its utility and charm. It features a washer/dryer combo, water heater, and storage space. It has a tiled shower with a knee wall, a composting toilet, and a vanity with a unique glass vessel sink.
It was during the COVID pandemic that the Las Vegas tiny house was commissioned and built. At that time the pricing of this house was around $95,000 but a similar build now will cost around $100,000, considering the current material prices.
