At IFA 2025, consumer electronics giant LG Electronics (LG) will unveil its latest AI-powered laundry innovations, led by the LG HeatPump WasherDryer, also known as the LG WashCombo. This all-in-one appliance combines the full functionality of a washing machine and utilizes a low-energy heat pump system for clothes drying.
First launched in Europe under LG’s premium SIGNATURE lineup, the original model achieved the top Energy Class A rating for its complete wash-to-dry cycle. The new HeatPump WasherDryer continues this standard by delivering Energy Class A efficiency throughout the entire cycle.
Powered by DUAL Inverter HeatPump technology and eco-friendly refrigerants like R290, the LG WasherDryer offers high energy efficiency while meeting Europe’s strict standards. Its space-saving design with large capacity suits European homes, and AI-driven fabric care ensures smarter washing. With this lineup, LG strengthens its position in Europe’s energy-conscious washer-dryer market.
As part of its sustainability approach, LG’s new washers include a Microplastic Care Cycle that cuts microplastic release from synthetic fabrics by up to 60 percent. The advanced AI motion control boosts energy efficiency, while the AI Wash function automatically adjusts wash patterns based on load weight to protect fabrics and save energy.
LG’s new dryers deliver Energy Class A efficiency. Using AI Dual Inverter technology, the AI Dry feature senses load weight, fabric type, and humidity to optimize drying speed which is useful especially for delicate fabrics while cutting energy use.

Since many European customers prefer DIY setups, LG’s ThinQ service offers self-installation checkup features. Moreover, the new Comfort Kit for the 24-inch European laundry lineup further improves usability and accessibility for households.
