Canadian tiny house builder Fritz Tiny Homes has grown in popularity within a handful of years of its inception. Aside from its admired Halcyon tiny house lineup, the manufacturer has also designed numerous custom dwellings to suit its clients’ individual needs. The Macdonald tiny house on wheels is one such customized abode created for a retired couple, who wished to be active travelers in their golden years.

The 32-foot-long Macdonald tiny house is built on a gooseneck trailer and is fully off-grid to allow mobility and complete freedom. To facilitate the off-grid capabilities, the builder outfitted the dwelling with an autonomous solar system, onboard 100-gallon fresh and gray water tanks, UV and particulate water filtration system, a mini split AC, and hydronic in-floor heating.

The eclectic micro-dwelling is outfitted with modern, space-saving solutions and flaunts a stunning structure. Featuring fir timberwork, intricate rooflines, walnut counters, and custom concrete accents, the Macdonald encompasses each element of unique Fritz craftsmanship.

Inside its gray façade, the tiny house comes with a spacious living room, complete kitchen, residential-style bathroom, and a master bedroom with home office. Moreover, this compact abode has a built-in sound and projector system to keep the couple entertained.

There are two entrances, one opens into the living room, and the other one into the kitchen. The living room has a cabinet and a sofa that converts into a bunk bed, a feature that Fritz has employed in many of its designs. There are also roller blinds next to the sofa, doubling as a projector screen with a soundbar concealed underneath the window sill.

Past the living room, a full kitchen comes with wooden countertops, a four-burner stove, oven, ventilation hood, sink, refrigerator, a slide-out pantry, and multiple cabinets. Opposite stands a dining table, which covers a coffee table beneath it to save space whenever not in use.

The bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen. It comes with a soaking tub, a rainfall shower, a composting toilet, a concrete sink, a heated towel rack, and a washing machine.

The master bedroom is located in the gooseneck, accessible via an LED-lit flight of steps. The bedroom has a custom-built, LED-backlit headboard with reading lights and integrated side tables. It also has a closet-lined wall, located directly above the bathroom. Under the bedroom, an exterior storage section is created to store outdoor equipment.
