The global pandemic has pushed us away from our fancy offices to work from home. If you are living out of a small apartment, where space comes for a premium, you know setting up a little nook to call your office is no easy feat. Folding furniture is a viable solution for such spaces but there is a catch, it doesn’t come cheap. If you have some fortune to spare, the MARCEL folding desk designed by France-based Christophe Gernigon Studio can be a viable option.

The desk can be folded away after use and stored behind a cabinet conveniently. In the folded state, it measures only 5 cm thick which makes it possible to conceal it behind a cabinet or shove it in a corner. The desk features a top measuring 80 cm long and 40 cm wide that is sufficient to place a small-sized laptop, a coffee mug, and some stationery you’d require while working.

The MARCEL folding desk has a base made of solid beech and the top is made in slatted oak veneer. There is also an option to include LED lights if needed. Overall, it is a simple and sleek furniture piece with the added benefit of being stored away easily.
