Los Angeles designer Willo Perron has designed a lounge chair for Knoll, which takes its form from our favorite nighttime headrests, the pillows. The idea behind the design is to transform pillows into a functional block. In the fall of 2024, Knoll launched the Pillo Sofa by the same designer, and now a smaller playful version named Perron Pillo lounge chair has joined the collection.
Perron states, “Everything I do has a bit of humor in it.” Justifying this thought, the Perron Pillo lounge chair resembles a playful stack of oversized pillows, looking like the pillow fort we all built in our childhood. Additionally, the chair combines ergonomic support with a lounge-like experience. According to the designer, the chair preserves the spirit of a full-fledged sofa without taking up much space.
The lounge chair has a base of two pillows, with one pillow framing the other three sides. The frame is made out of steel, which makes the sofa durable. The pillows are upholstered with Knoll textiles, making them look like a soft, welcoming seat.
Knoll offers two models of the lounge chair to fit different needs. One is a swivel version that provides 360-degree rotation, benefiting you with mobility and flexibility. The other model is a fixed chair that delivers a grounded feeling.

Both chair versions are 30 inches high, 47 inches wide, and 32 inches deep, with a seat height of 18 inches. Despite measuring the same, both chairs weigh differently, as the fixed version is 121lbs while the swivel one weighs 169lbs.
The Perron Pillo lounge chair provides an enveloping experience for the sitter. Priced at $5,500, the chair combines merry-making with practicality. Knoll offers a variety of textile options to personalize your single sofa. You can also get additional pillows separately to make your individual lounging experience even better.
