After creating the successful Bird Buddy smart feeder, the makers have now revealed a Petal camera at CES 2025. It is a small wireless solar-powered camera designed to capture the precious moments of nature in your backyard. From tracking new sprouts and bees to butterflies and bugs, it keeps tabs on every unusual visitor that comes fluttering by in your garden.

The Petal camera has been introduced under new Wonder branding which is Bird Buddy’s new line of products. It features a camera attached to a flexible stem that can be placed pretty much anywhere in your yard. An optional solar leaf is also available to keep the device fully charged.

Petal’s 4K, 12-megapixel camera is integrated with an AI system that helps in identifying various flora and fauna through Wonder app on your phone. According to the company, the camera has two optional lens add-ons that will give you wide and close-up views of anything that comes within the frame of the camera.

Petal’s AI also facilitates interaction with the device’s chatbot on your phone and keeps you well-informed about new species. That’s not it, it will alert you to any suspicious and invasive activities going on in your garden, facilitating quick action. Certainly, it is a win-win proposition for gardening enthusiasts.

In case you don’t have a designated spot for your Petal camera, it can be paired up with Bird Buddy’s other device, dubbed Wonder Block. It is a modular planter designed to inhabit plants, entice many pollinators like bees, and invite birds too.

The device is customizable and comes with different modules such as bee hotel, bug hotel, butterfly feeder, seed tray, and a pedestal to stack all these modules. The Petal camera is expected to be shipped in the spring of 2025 for a price of $250 which includes the solar panels.
