The Netherlands-based company, Josephine Tiny Houses, has built the Poppy tiny house as an intimate glamping rental for a couple. Nestled in the middle of a lush landscape in Zeeland, the Poppy tiny house feels like a cozy nest enveloped by pure nature. It offers a natural retreat where you disconnect from busy city life and taste the perks of downsizing without full commitment. If you have ever wished to live in a tiny house in the Dutch countryside, the Poppy lets you test the waters.
As soon as you enter the house, the bold color palette will give you an instant pop of energy, which contrasts beautifully with the moody exterior. The house’s exterior features black-stained wood cladding with a traditional hut-like pitched roof. The white trim provides a lovely farmhouse aesthetic by framing the windows and stable door.
The tiny house has a large wooden deck, expanding the living space. It features a fire pit and two lounge areas where you can rest comfortably and admire the radiant sunset by the fire pit.
The stable door adds a strong farmhouse charm to the tiny house. To fill the house with fresh breeze, leave the top part open while the closed lower part maintains a cozy nest feeling. The stable door opens into the stunning interior featuring a funky orange-red palette that appears opposite to the modern, black-wood clad exterior.
The interior has an open layout with each zone having a dedicated space. The bright flooring, along with a colorful kitchenette, pops against the neutral shiplap-clad walls. The vaulted ceiling makes the living space feel airy and luxuriously spacious. A black wood-stove burner nearby keeps the interior warm and adds a lovely rustic charm.
The kitchenette functions as a centerpiece and adds a dramatic personality to the compact interior. The combination of a wood countertop, a vintage high-neck faucet, and a white farmhouse sink gives a high-end feel. The wood-burning stove acts as a stylish divider, separating the dining and cooking zones from the sleeping area.
The dining zone lies opposite the kitchenette. It includes a wooden dining table and two chairs, placed by the windows. The windows brighten up the interior while providing views of the stunning landscape.

The sleeping area features a large and cozy double bed tucked into an alcove on the left side of the layout. The porthole window on the shiplap-clad wall adds a whimsical, fairy-tale touch to the sleeping area. You’ll find a bathroom with a shower, quietly hidden behind the wooden door on the far right end.
The Poppy tiny house is a rental accommodation designed for a couple as a romantic getaway in the middle of nature. The tiny house relies on solar energy to generate electricity and provides enough water for comfortable living. You can rent the Poppy tiny house for 195€ (approximately $225) per night. It is one of the best tiny house vacation rentals that allows you to dip your toes into the lifestyle before taking the leap.
