A couple in Durango has found a permanent solution to their vacation destination worries. Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses were rightly commissioned to build this off-grid haven on the couple’s secluded land. Shakalo 20’ Tiny House comes as an absolute escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.

This tiny house has an exterior made from seam metal in charcoal color to blend in with the surroundings and is low maintenance. A wide set of dark stained windows are fitted to complement the house in totality and bring in the fresh air. A rear storage closet comes in handy as a storage option. Lack of basic utilities at the owner’s site propelled the builders to harness the power of solar energy at large.

Shakalo 20’s layout for the interior is kept simple and minimal with the basics tucked right in. The entry is made through a full glass wooden door that leads you directly into the living room on the right. Gray and brown tones subtly blend in the section, giving an open area view inside the tiny house.

An adorable couch and a small storage loft (above it) are snuggled in here for your cozy evenings. Lying opposite is the utility space for the kitchen and bathroom. A loft bedroom that sits right on top of the bathroom can be accessed through storage-integrated stairs. It is reasonably sized and is lighted with a large approachable window.

The kitchen transforms into a home cook’s haven with modern facilities kept within reach. Shakalo Tiny House features a cream-colored quartz countertop, under-mount sink, two burner cooktop, solar fridge, and a microwave vent hood.

Plenty of storage options (pantry and cabinets) are available within and a small hinged table attached to the kitchen cabinets serves as a dining nook. The rear end of the house features a basic bathroom with a compost toilet, a small vanity and storage, and a 32’ shower.
