As spring arrives, brands start launching new products, and Sony is leading the charge with the launch of its new flagship 4K QD-OLED TV this year. Successor to its earlier A95L model, the new BRAVIA 8 II is meant to level up the QD-LED game with new improvements. Powered by the Google TV platform, this model features a high luminance panel and a temperature sensor that controls light to deliver superior picture quality with depth and detail.

The new BRAVIA 8 II 4K TV uses the latest generation QD-OLED panel with 8 million self-illuminating pixels to provide bright, lifelike picture quality. Powered by Sony’s proprietary XR Processor, it optimizes the high color purity and wide color gamut of the panel. The XR Processor also features an AI scene recognition system that detects and analyzes data with flawless accuracy, then optimizes the picture automatically for best results. On the other hand, XR Triluminos Max enhances the display of more natural colors while preserving vivid colors.

The BRAVIA 8 II’s Slim One Slate design merges the screen and bezel into one while the aluminum stand is hidden from view at an angle, allowing the user to focus on visuals. This TV is equipped with Studio Calibrated modes, like Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, SONY PICTURES CORE Calibrated Mode, and Prime Video Calibrated Mode that adjust the image quality to match the film content creator’s vision.

As for the audio, the TV comes with Acoustic Surface Audio + that turns every part of the screen into a powerful speaker. To create a cinema-like experience, the viewer feels like sound is emitting directly from the scene. It also supports Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos to provide immersive 3D sound.

For ease of use, this BRAVIA TV can be controlled from a smartphone with the companion mobile app. The user can also control the TV using the remote, on-screen menu, or through hand gestures. Other highlighting features are compatibility with Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Google Assistant, Alexa, built-in camera, 32GB onboard storage, 120Hz refresh rate, and IMAX Enhanced mode including IMAX Enhanced sound with DTS:X available on Disney+.
