Sustainable design has become a growing element with a loyal audience around the world. Canada-based Stackabl has been catering to this audience with a strong focus on responsible material choices, as shared by the founder in the constructive interview. Its latest creation, the Tilt + Shift lighting collection, follows the same approach through creative use of post-industrial cork rescued from wine stopper production. Developed in collaboration with renowned design firm Rockwell Group, the collection reflects its commitment to sustainability and circular design practices.
The Tilt + Shift collection consists of two table lamps and three floor lamps, each offering a sustainable design featuring custom, solid cork bases topped with rounded Merino wool elements. The height of the lamps ranges from 6 to 46 inches for different models. Each lamp has a cantilevered head that provides soft, ambient down lighting and touch-dimmable LED light discs for added convenience.
The Tilt table lamp features a slightly angled design with a pill-shaped cork base. Stacked felt discs in varying sizes create a staircase-like look. In contrast, the Shift floor lamps have a clean, split form that extends through the base. They use the same-sized felt discs, arranged in a single level but divided down the center for a unique look.
The innovative combination of the warm, natural texture of cork with the bold geometric shapes of stacked felt discs distinguishes the design. There is option to choose from a variety of colorways to further personalize the overall appeal.

From homes and offices to hospitality spaces, these lamps can be customized to suit a range of environments. The Tilt + Shift lighting collection had a soft launch at Salone 2025 and now it will be showcased at the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York.
Stackabl has previously created a similar kind of pendant lights from felt for Salone 2022.
