UK-based Steel Vintage offers handcrafted, industrial-style furniture for homes and commercial spaces. The Steampunk Desk is one of their most popular creations. Its design is inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery identical to Steampunk.
The company has used its standard Classic X desk as a base for this table. You can notice the X design on the front of the table, making it perfect for an X-Men fan. Its legs use 3mm thick and 50 x 50mm box steel and are also hand fabricated in the shape of an X. Each foot is 100 x 100mm and 8mm thick and there is a 50x25mm box steel top frame to ensure that the 25mm thick timber sits atop perfectly.
The X-shaped metal legs are covered with felt pads to protect the flooring. There are a number of valve handles, copper pipes, brass fittings, wooden trims, and steel radiators to add a Steampunk look to the desk. Each table also has a hand-finished cast Steel Vintage badge.
