German architect, designer and art director Adorjan Portik creates unique, contemporary, minimal designs in limited numbers. The collection of Transparent chairs is one of his new creations that nicely displays his distinctive design style. The chairs are composed of three elements: a dynamic wooden frame, acrylic sheet and steel point fixing joints.
Each chair features a transparent seat and back along with a wooden frame. The surface is treated with anti-static and anti-scratch protective polish and it is water and dirt repellent, eliminating electrostatic dirt attraction.
With all apparent, strong structural parts, the designer had a moment of balanced tension. The joints are flexible which means the connection between the seating sheet and legs is realized with steel balls in a steel case.
