When the Ford Bronco re-entered the market in 2021, it was widely seen as a strong alternative to the Jeep Wrangler, owing to its rugged off-road capabilities, iconic design, and modern features. As people are getting interested in converting off-road vehicles into campers, Oregon-based company Ursa Minor has introduced the B30 pop-up roof camper conversion specifically for the 4-door Bronco. This innovative B30 roof replaces the factory hard or soft top to transform the Bronco into an adventure camper with a comfortable sleeping area featuring an integrated double bed accessible from inside the vehicle.
The B30 roof is compatible with all 4-door models of the 6th Generation Bronco from 2021 to the current year, including all trim levels such as the Raptor and Everglades. It adds about 7 inches in height, maintaining a relatively low profile suitable for standard garage heights, and weighs approximately 165 pounds, which is lighter than many rooftop tents. This design preserves key features like the Raptor’s B-pillar crossbar and the Everglades snorkel, ensuring functionality across variants.
The new pop-up camper model for Bronco can be accessed directly from inside and has similar standing room, weight, and setup same as the J30 model for Jeep Wrangler. The roof opens by releasing latches on the front corners and a rear pull cord that releases the rear latches. Thereafter, gas struts assist in lifting the roof. A support pole can also be deployed to support it during strong winds.
When the rooftop pops up, the Ursa Minor B30 camper offers a weatherproof, cozy shelter for a comfortable sleep. The camper is made from outdoor-ready materials such as Sunbrella fabric for the tent, along with a hard top roof for durability and longevity. Inside, you will find a 2-inch (5-cm) double mattress that provides a comfortable sleeping area measuring 86 x 49 inches (218 x 124cm). There is also an optional 3-inch-thick (7.6-cm) mattress for those who prefer a thicker sleeping space.

According to New Atlas, the swapped roof is slightly lower than the J30. It adds 7 inches (18 cm) of height to the stock Bronco roof, while the J30 adds 10 inches (25 cm) to the Wrangler. As a basic four-door Bronco is 73 inches (185 cm) tall, adding the B30 roof increases the height to 80 inches (203 cm), which can fit inside most standard 7-foot (213 cm) garages in the US.
The B30 pop-top adds 65 lbs (75 kg) to the Bronco’s curb weight. If you wish to get one, the B30 pop-up camper model is listed for $11,678 at the Ursa Minor official website.
