Indian designer Bandana Jain of Sylvn Studio, along with some of her fellow female workers, handcrafts lamps and furniture from corrugated cardboard, burlap, and other recycled materials. They have recently built a 700-square-feet suspended ceiling at Mumbai’s Pa Pa Ya in Colaba, which seamlessly showcases their expertise in cardboard design. All their products, including cardboard chandelier, table lamps, and the African style gourd lamps bring unmatched class and cascading ambiance to the place.
These lamps feature an intricate design, emitting various light patterns on the ceiling, and walls to bring eye-catchy visual character to your home. Each lampshade consists of several cardboard pieces and is hand-painted with an appealing texture and appearance. As these cardboard lamps are completely handcrafted, there might be some difference in their color, size and texture.
From cardboard furniture and lighting to architecture, there are numerous design possibilities with this cardboard. We have earlier featured plenty of cardboard-based products, that are best suited for modern interior spaces. Likewise, Sylvn Studio’s cardboard lamps are ideal for people who want a subtle lighting piece that leaves minimum impact on the environment.
