Nature is very bountiful and has a plethora of resources to sustain and enhance the value of life. Implementing this thought, a group of individuals in Bali built Aura House that stands on the sides of Ayung River gorge. The house is made of bamboo and faces east to provide the beautiful sunrises and spectacular view of Balinese lush green forest.

Aura House is a part of Green Village initiative started by an Indonesian design firm Ibuku, to create sustainable architecture which is aesthetically pleasing as well. The designing firm used bamboo as the building material, which is in abundance in Indonesia. Given the high flexibility of the material, bamboo has been used in the making of walls, staircases, furniture, and even the light fittings.

This breathtaking three-story structure has terraces on each level and winding staircases. There are two en-suite bedrooms, a large living room, a small kitchen, and a private swimming pool as well. Given the high flexibility of the material, bamboo has been twisted and curled into beautiful intricately woven curves and designs to give it an aesthetic touch.

The house is a part of Green Village ecosystem, a compound of sustainable structures, made almost entirely out of bamboo, custom-designed and handmade by Ibuku architectural team. Ibuku’s use of bamboo shows the structural and decorative possibility of bamboo and reinvention of building a structure with sustainable materials without exploiting nature.

Aura House is a perfect blend of sustainable architecture, art and a unique mindful lifestyle. You can rent this house for approximately $200 per night. This house is available on Airbnb for rent.

It is a perfect getaway for a lover of sustainable architecture or someone who wants to experience the exclusive luxury of nature. Either you are an art lover or just want to get away with your partner from the modern hectic lifestyle, Aura House in the Balinese forests is perfect for you.
