Boston-based Andover Audio came into the limelight for creating the Andover-One all-in-one turntable that packs speakers, amplification, and other electronics into a single box, yet delivers satisfying high-fidelity sound. Now, the company has upgraded that model for an even better user experience. The MK2 version adds a pre-calibrated Audio-Technica VM95E cartridge, an automatic stop function, and an optical digital output for modern streamers.
The new MK2 model comes completely pre-tuned at the factory. Unlike traditional record players, where you must manually install the cartridge, balance the tonearm, and adjust the tracking force and anti-skate, it offers a plug-and-play functionality that works right out of the box.
With tracking force, anti-skate, and the cartridge already aligned, you need to plug it in, apply the record, drop the needle, and play. The turntable is equipped with a new optical sensor that stops the motor seconds after your record ends. It protects the stylus and vinyl from unnecessary wear if you walk away or fall asleep.
The turntable uses Audio-Technica VM95E dual-magnet cartridge featuring great stereo separation and light tracking for minimal record wear. It now includes a removable headshell and adjustable tonearm height (VTA), allowing you to easily swap or upgrade the needle in the future.
The turntable shares the same 200W, 6-driver acoustic architecture of the earlier model. The speaker system comprises four side-firing subwoofers, while digital control ensures powerful bass without the rumble that might disrupt record playback. There is an internal DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to manage low-end frequencies at a level that will not cause the needle to jump.
Much like the previous model, the MK2 model prevents skipping through a combination of innovative design and engineering. At the core is Andover’s patented IsoGroove technology, which isolates the turntable from internal vibrations that could cause skipping. The turntable sits on a floating platform that is mechanically decoupled from the speaker cabinet, using a mix of isolation grommets and dampers to ensure smooth playback at any volume.
To further reduce unwanted vibration, the system’s chassis is constructed from dense MDF and layered materials that resist resonance. Internal bracing and acoustic dampening add another layer of protection against mechanical feedback.

For connectivity, the turntable now includes Optical Digital Output, allowing it to pair with multi-room smart speaker ecosystems. It also includes a high-quality Class A headphone amplifier that delivers accurate sound with low distortion.
The mid-century wooden cabinetry with compact form shines in any room, whether it is your living room, bedroom, office, or private den. If looking to buy, the Andover-One MK2 turntable can be pre-ordered for about $2,699 from the official website, with shipping slated after June 1, 2026. It can also be expanded with the “Premier” setup that includes album storage and a subwoofer for a full floor-standing experience.
