At Euroluce, the dedicated lighting design event at Milan Design Week, Italian design brand Artemide has unveiled its new Interweave lighting range. Designed in collaboration with Dubai-based designer Pallavi Dean of Roar design studio, it is a flexible lighting system that can be adjusted according to personal desire and needs.

Sharing her thought on the collaboration and design, Pallavi Dean said,

For me, as for Artemide, man is the essence of every space. The main protagonist of the design plot. We want users to become the ‘authors’ of the space they inhabit. This system wants to encourage interaction with space and with the human beings that occupy it.

The lighting range comprises cylindrical modules which can be mounted to the ceiling or wall, and a flexible LED light strip which can be guided freely among those modules in the desired manner. Each cylindrical module has multiple cuts to hold the light strip.

These modules can also serve as a base for spotlights, speakers, sensors, etc. This integration of light and service also makes possible to control the units remotely through a smartphone app, voice control or motion.

With Artemide’s Interweave lighting range, users will have full freedom to choose the number or placement of cylinder modules. The easy-of-control is an added feature which will put this fixture in direct competition with smart lights.

Presently, there is no word about the official launch date of interweave lighting range, but we learn, it will be available in three different models – ceiling, wall, and suspension variant.
