Bang & Olufsen, the Danish brand well known for its decorative range of home speakers has launched a new speaker called the Beosound Explore. It is a waterproof wireless speaker designed to be used in any condition. Its hardened, scratch-resistant and dust and waterproof shell can withstand a little more than normal wear and tear.

Beosound Explore has a rubberized base and aluminum body. The base ensures stability while a meticulously constructed internal design protects against drops and falls. It has IP67 water and dust resistance rating and can therefore withstand being submerged in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes, the company notes.

Powered by dual 1.8 full-range drivers coupled with two 30W Class D amplifiers along with an innovative grill design, the speaker offers a promising sound quality that can be enjoyed anywhere. Beosound Explore is an ultra-portable speaker that can be clipped to a belt or strapped to a backpack using provided carabineer or can be carried in the hand with the included waterproof strap. It provides up to 27 hours of continuous playback.
