Smartphone battery capacity is reaching new heights with every new release, but people still need portable power banks, which have become a whole new segment. Tech brands like Anker and Belkin are some of the most recognized “big names” dominating the Qi2 magnetic power bank market, but there is a new challenger in town. Consumer electronics brand Bang & Olufsen (B&O) is the newest entrant in the market, trying to capture potential buyers through the luxury industrial design the brand is already well known for.

Designed to be proudly displayed by the user, this portable power bank swaps out standard plastic casing for a glass surface paired with an aluminum frame. The case is finished with diamond-cut edges and pearl-blasted textures that make it look like a luxury accessory rather than a typical charger.

This power bank is designed as a companion to B&O’s flagship H100 headphones. Just five minutes of charging gives you up to 3.5 hours of extra playback time on the headphones. You can also use it with other Qi2-compatible smartphones, including the latest iPhones and Google Pixel 10, as well as standard USB-C gadgets like earbuds.

It features a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 20W fast charging via USB Power Delivery. For cable-free charging, it also offers Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W. When you need to top up the power bank, it can be recharged via the onboard USB-C port at up to 18W.

B&O’s power bank is available in Infinite Black and Hourglass Sand to match the finishes of the Beoplay H100 headphones. It is listed at €145 (roughly $167) across Europe, comparatively higher than most options on the market. As some Reddit users have noted, this premium pricing does not justify the device’s value. One user claims, “You could find similar power banks for much cheaper that are also much, much slimmer than whatever this is.”

Its luxurious materials and industrial design are the main selling points that many people would like, but the only constraint is its high price. If you value aesthetics more, then the Bang & Olufsen power bank is surely a worthy buy. Those who already own the H100 headphones may also want to get their hands on the power bank for the matching colors.
