Bang & Olufsen often surprises us with their incredible way of blending technology with modern designs. This time the company has given the artistic makeover to its latest speaker system. Dubbed BeoSound Shape, the wireless speaker system consists of a cluster of wall-mounted hexagonal panels that doubles as a wall art. So, your guests won’t be able to recognition at the first glance that this creative wall decal is actually a high-quality sound system.

The wireless speaker system is integrated with BeoSound Core, a connectivity hub that’s concealed in one of the tiles. This connectivity hub comes with the hardware for AirPlay, Spotify, Chromecast, and Bluetooth 4.1. Moreover, it also supports the company’s very own BeoLink system.

The base kit priced at €4,000 (roughly $4,266) includes a cluster of eight tiles — four speakers, two sound-absorbing acoustic dampeners, one amplifier, and one housing for the Core. The hexagonal titles can be expanded up to 11 amplifier units. Each individual unit can support four speaker tiles on all sides, so it can be extended up to 44 titles.

The decorative design doesn’t mean the company has compromised with the sound quality. The speaker system lives up to the standard sound quality offered by all B&O sound systems. Besides that, the speakers can even combat against the ricocheting effect that’s usually created with traditional speakers when they are surrounded by hard walls and surfaces.

Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Shape speakers are perfect for contemporary homes and can be customized with high-quality fabric covers to match different interiors. The latest B&O sound system is expected to go on sale in August and the interested audiophiles can sign up now on the Bang & Olufsen website to get the notification when the company starts taking preorders. You can catch this aesthetic sound system at Salone del Mobile 2017 in Milan this week.
